Market Developer
Ready to open new markets and drive Monil’s international growth?
As our Market Developer, you’ll help drive Monil’s growth into new markets. You’ll respond to incoming interest, assess market potential and win the first customers, while helping shape how we enter and grow each market.
This role combines hands-on commercial work with strategic thinking. You’ll move between market analysis, customer conversations and negotiations, turning what you learn into clear priorities and practical ways of working that can scale. As markets develop, you’ll also help recruit and onboard the first local team.
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, builds trust and gets things done. You’re just as comfortable following up with a potential customer as you are developing a plan for a new market.
What you’ll be responsible for
Respond to inbound interest from new markets, qualify opportunities and turn promising leads into customers.
Conduct initial market analysis to understand demand, buyer behaviour, competition, pricing, regulation and barriers to entry.
Identify and prioritise growth opportunities, combining market insights with early commercial results.
Work closely with headquarters to develop and test local go-to-market approaches, positioning, pricing and sales processes.
Build relationships with farmers and potential partners, lead sales conversations and negotiate agreements.
Turn early learnings into structured processes, reporting and ways of working that support continued growth.
Help recruit and onboard the first local team as the market develops.
Improve Monil’s approach to entering new markets, making each launch more effective and scalable.
Travel to build relationships, understand local conditions and support market development.
What we’re looking for
You bring at least three years of relevant experience, typically around 3–5 years or more, in market development, business development, management consulting or a commercial role in a startup or scale-up.
You’ve built something from the ground up, whether opening a market, developing a business opportunity or taking a significant project from idea to execution.
You have strong commercial instincts and are comfortable selling, negotiating and taking responsibility for results.
You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. You’re willing to take on both the everyday tasks and the bigger challenges needed to move a market forward.
You’re highly structured and can turn uncertainty into clear priorities, practical plans and measurable progress.
You think about scale from the start, creating processes and ways of working that others can build on.
You use data and customer insights to assess opportunities, test assumptions and make informed decisions.
You build trust across cultures and communicate effectively with customers, partners and colleagues.
You are willing and able to travel regularly to the markets we’re developing.
You are fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
It would be an advantage if you also have:
Experience opening a new market or building an early sales pipeline, with tangible commercial results.
Experience helping recruit and onboard a new team.
Experience in agriculture or working with farmers.
Additional language skills and experience working across international markets.
What we offer
A central role in shaping and executing Monil’s international growth.
The opportunity to develop new markets, with real ownership of early opportunities and commercial results.
The freedom to test ideas and build a scalable approach to market development.
Close collaboration with Monil’s leadership team and colleagues across commercial, product and operations.
A fast-growing, international environment with ambitious and supportive colleagues.
Opportunities to grow your responsibilities as Monil expands.
Competitive compensation.
