Help us shape the future of livestock farming!
What we do
Monil was established to give farmers tools to streamline their operations. We start by challenging traditional fences with virtual fences. Our product allows animals to roam freely on new pastures while at the same time giving farmers full control over the location and well-being of their herd.
In time, Monil will simplify and improve far more aspects of livestock farming, such as giving the farmer an automatic overview of the animals' health and heat, automating controlled grazing, and providing better insight into the animals' behavior and well-being. A bit like a digital shepherd.
What to expect?
At Monil, every member of our team plays a vital role in bringing our farmer- and animal-friendly technology to market, enabling us to contribute to a greener and more self-sufficient agriculture. About Monil
Monil is a Norwegian startup founded in 2022 by an experienced group of engineers from Prox Dynamics/Teledyne FLIR, Energy Micro/Silicon Labs and Cognite. We aim to design and deliver world-leading livestock tracking, virtual fencing and grazing technology. By combining cutting edge technology with natural animal behaviour, our products will help make livestock farming more efficient, enhance animal welfare and positively impact the environment.
The core of our product is a beautifully engineered collar worn by grazing animals that records the animal's position and uses various cues to contain the animal inside a virtual fence. Through a neatly designed smartphone app, the farmer can set up and adjust the virtual fence and monitor the activity and health of their animals in realtime.
