Interested in helping bring virtual fencing to cattle producers in the Midwest? Let’s talk.
Monil is a young company building virtual fencing technology for grazing livestock. Founded in Norway, the company has already introduced the system to livestock operations across Europe and experienced strong growth, with sales increasing by 350% in 2025.
Our system helps cattle producers manage grazing more efficiently, expand access to pasture, and reduce the time spent building and maintaining physical fences.
The Opportunity
Monil is now establishing its first presence in the United States—at a time when virtual fencing is beginning to take off across the country. Our base is in the Kansas City region, and our initial focus for 2026 is working with cattle producers across Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.
Monil’s initial US setup consists of a small team on the ground in the Kansas City region, temporarily relocated from Monil’s European organization. Over time, responsibility for the US business will transition to a permanently Midwest-based team.
As we build the US team, we are always interested in meeting people who know agriculture from the inside—people who understand producers, how operations work in practice, and how trust is built in farming communities.
If you believe your experience could help bring new tools like virtual fencing to ranchers and livestock producers, we would love to hear from you!
Who You Are
You may come from a range of backgrounds, but you share a strong connection to agriculture and the people who work in it.
You might be:
A farmer or rancher with strong operational experience and an interest in technology or commercial work
Someone who has sold equipment, feed, animal health products, or other agricultural solutions
A professional who works directly with producers in roles such as training, advisory, support, or extension
Someone with experience building partnerships, managing accounts, or growing businesses in agriculture
You are someone who:
Understands the realities of livestock operations and the people who run them
Communicates clearly and earns trust with producers
Enjoys solving real problems in practical environments
Is self-driven and comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
Is open to learning new tools and technology
Even if your experience does not fit neatly into a specific role, we would still like to hear from you if you care deeply about agriculture and believe you could contribute to what we are building.
What You Might Work On
Depending on your background and the role that emerges, you might work on:
Building trusted relationships with farmers, ranchers, and agricultural businesses across the Midwest
Helping producers adopt and succeed with virtual fencing technology
Supporting demos, training sessions, and field visits with customers
Bringing real-world feedback from producers back to our internal teams
Supporting industry outreach, events, and partnerships
Helping build the playbooks and processes that will shape how Monil grows in the US
This is still early for Monil in the United States. The people joining now will help define how we operate and how we grow in this market.
How We Work
Monil already has experience and working methods from Europe. The US team will use what works, while adapting and rebuilding the parts that do not translate directly to the American market.
We move quickly and learn in the field. We do not overbuild processes early. Instead we focus on doing the work, learning from it, and building structure as patterns emerge.
This is not a corporate environment with tightly defined roles from day one. The people joining early will help shape the organization as it develops.
What We Offer
The opportunity to help build Monil’s presence in the United States from the ground up
A product that livestock producers are already using successfully in Europe
The chance to work closely with producers and help bring new technology into real operations
Significant autonomy and the opportunity to grow with the company as the US team develops
A practical, straightforward company culture focused on solving real problems
How to Apply
Send us your background and experience, along with a short note about why this opportunity interests you.
Also tell us what type of role you’d be most interested in, and your availability.
We’d also love to hear a line about; What’s one challenge you see livestock producers facing today that better tools could help solve?
We are not looking for a perfect résumé. We are looking for someone who understands agriculture, enjoys working with producers, and wants to help build something new.
We review applications on a rolling basis and will reach out if there is a potential fit.
More About Monil
Monil develops virtual fencing technology that allows livestock producers to manage grazing without physical fences. The system uses GPS-enabled collars and a mobile interface to guide animals and control grazing areas, helping producers manage pasture more precisely and reduce the time spent building and maintaining traditional fencing.
Beyond fencing, the technology also provides better visibility into animal movement and grazing patterns. By combining positioning data with practical management tools, Monil aims to help livestock operations run more efficiently while improving pasture utilization and animal welfare.
The system is already used by livestock operations across Europe and is now being introduced to producers in the United States. The Midwest is the starting point for this next phase of growth.
